COMPETENCE STATEMENT

The Asociación Fórum Auditorías (AFA) is an association of Pharmaceutical companies constituted in 2005. Its main purpose is to perform 3rd party audits according to an approved intercompany protocol, which was initially reviewed by the National Health Authorities. Currently, AFA provides services to more than 80 companies, being 30 of them affiliates with full rights.

The Intercompany Protocol, constitutes the basis of agreement between the affiliates. It is the charter for the organization, realisation and distribution of audits and audit reports.

As part of this Protocol, AFA assigns qualified auditors to each specific audit. Auditors must fulfil the requirements, in terms of education, experience and audit skills, set forth in the Protocol.

Currently, more than 300 audits of different types, mainly APIs, have been carried out all over the world. The corresponding audit reports, available to affiliates, constitute the intellectual foundation of the Association. These reports have undergone review by regulatory authorities from different countries worldwide, as part of their GMP inspections. No objections have risen, so far from any of these inspections.
